It is illegal to drive without a driver's license that shows your driver license number in your possession. Let us inform you of the steps to take in order to get your driver's license. Checking your driving licence record online is useful for finding out what vehicles you can drive and driving convictions. You'll need a couple of things to check your driving record online: Your driving licence number. Your national insurance number. Your postcode as shown on your licence. Once you have that information at hand, login in on. If your licence expires before 31 December 2020. Your driving licence or entitlement to drive will be automatically extended for 11 months if it expires between 1 February 2020 and 31 December 2020. You can check your license number at your records, for example, expired driver’s licenses. This is very helpful if it is issued by the same licensing agency since it has the same number as the one you lost. You may check your records, your memo on your phone, see if you have saved them in any other way.

If your license has been expired over:
- 60 days, there's an extra $10 fee to renew.
- 6 years, you can't renew. You’ll need to start over. See steps to getting your first license and proof of identity.
